Pastor Angela D.R Bell

After raising her children, Angela became a minister in 2007, working for the cause of Christ by preaching the gospel and exercising her gift of intercession in the work of Gospel ministry. Her poetry, along with God's word, changed her life as it ministered to her spirit. Her hope is that, through the Gospel and poetry, she will be able to bring God's word and joy to all she meets.

Influences

In her ministry and daily life, Angela has been influenced and shaped by the Gospel. This influence is very apparent in her poetry. She is also influenced by other writers and thinkers. She uses some of her favorite quotes to guide her interactions with the people she meets every day.

When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.  -- Audre Lorde, 1934-1992 from The Cancer Journals

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. -- Audre Lorde, 1934-1992, from Our Dead Behind Us Poems

Your silence will not protect you.  -- Audre Lorde, 1934-1992 from The Transformation of Silence into Action
